How should a TBCharge be earthed?

Yes. An earth connection is required as part of the installation to comply with electrical regulations.

There are two approved methods of earthing a TBCharge:

1. Connect the earth to the charger 
   On the PV10P & PV11P models, the wiring block has an earth input to run the earth wire into.
   
   The PV12P model has a small gold earth tag at the top right of the transformer. 
   
   
2. Connect the earth via the back box
   All TBCharge models can be earthed via the double-gang metal back box.
   
   The earth conductor should be connected to the earth terminal within the back box. The charger's earth tag provides continuity between the charger and the earthed back box when installed using the fixing screws.
