How to Install a ProofVision Bathroom TV
This guide explains the basic installation process for ProofVision WebOS Smart Bathroom TVs, including preparing the recess, installing the mounting plate, connecting the TV, testing it and sealing the finished installation. Important: Installation should be completed by a technically competent person. If you are unsure about any part of the installation, contact a qualified electrician or AV professional.
Before installation:
- Check that all supplied accessories are present.
- Confirm the correct TV size and mounting plate dimensions.
- Check that the installation wall is flat and level.
- Check for pipes, cables and other hazards before creating the recess.
- Decide on the viewing position.
- Plan the required cables and connections.
- Test the TV before completing the installation.
ProofVision bathroom TVs are designed to be recessed into the wall and sealed to the surrounding wall using bathroom-grade silicone.

Installation Steps
1. Prepare the recess
Create a suitable wall recess based on the mounting plate dimensions.
The wall must be flat and level because the TV attaches to the mounting plate using magnets.
2. Install the mounting plate
Secure the supplied mounting plate correctly and make sure it is level and firmly fixed.
3. Connect the cables
Connect the required power, HDMI, Ethernet, USB, aerial/satellite or other cables required for your installation.
Ensure cables are routed so they do not prevent the TV from sitting correctly.
4. Test the TV
Before completing the installation, test:
- Power
- Picture
- Sound
- Remote
- Wi-Fi
- Ethernet, if required
- HDMI/external devices, if required
ProofVision recommends testing the TV before installation is completed.
5. Mount the TV
Carefully attach the TV to the mounting plate.
Do not force the TV into position.
If it does not sit correctly, check the recess, mounting plate and cable routing.
6. Seal the TV
Apply suitable bathroom-grade silicone continuously around all four edges where the TV meets the wall.
Do not leave gaps in the seal.
Correct sealing helps prevent water from reaching the rear of the TV.
Wi-Fi & EthernetProofVision WebOS bathroom TVs support both Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
Because the Wi-Fi receiver is located at the rear of the TV and the TV is recessed into the wall, the installation can affect Wi-Fi signal strength.
Where required, ProofVision recommends using Ethernet or a nearby Wi-Fi booster.

Does the TV need to be recessed?
Yes. ProofVision bathroom TVs are designed for recessed in-wall installation.
Does the TV need to be sealed?
Yes. The TV must be sealed around all four edges using suitable bathroom-grade silicone.
Can I install the TV without silicone?
No. Correct sealing is an essential part of the installation.
What if the TV doesn't sit correctly?
Do not force it. Check that the wall is flat, the mounting plate is correctly installed and no cables are obstructing the TV.
Where should the transformer go?
The transformer and mains connection should be installed in a suitable location in accordance with applicable electrical regulations.
Should I test the TV before installation?
